Abstract
Genetically modified mice have become an invaluable tool in modern biomedic al and basic research. This review provides an overview of knockout and tra nsgenic mice studied with regard to their cutaneous wound healing propertie s. In addition, several gene transfer studies are briefly introduced, which have further highlighted our knowledge on individual gene function in woun d healing.
