Abstract
Solitons in dispersion managed lines have large tolerance to polarization m ode dispersion (PMD) because of strong nonlinear trap helped by a power enh ancement factor compared with conventional solitons, We present numerical r esults on the effect of map strength S on PMD and discuss the optimum choic e of S in practical soliton systems.
