We propose a method for simultaneous treatment of heat and mass transfer pr
ocesses and porosity formation of castings produced by Counter Pressure Cas
ting (CPC) method. The method enables us to account for the influence of th
e CPC parameters on the mechanical properties of the casting. Numerical res
ults and comparison with experimental data are given for an axis-symmetric
