Abstract
In this paper, instantaneous state characteristics of Er-doped fiber lasers (EDFLs) are studied. The fluctuation function of Er-doping ion and photon population density are solved under small pump perturbation. Furthermore,th e damp and the resonance properties of the relaxation oscillation and relat ionships with EDFLs' parameters are discussed in detail.
