Abstract
We obtain a Siegel-Well formula for the dual pair G(2) x F-4 in the quatern ionic form of E-8 over Q, with G(2) split and F-4 anisotropic. This identif ies the integral over F-4 Of a theta function on E-8 as an Eisenstein serie s on G(2). The Fourier coefficients of the theta integral are related to an embedding problem involving cubic forms.
