Video-assisted transaortic resection of left ventricular sarcoma using theultrasonic surgical aspirator

We present a case of recurrent metastatic synovial sarcoma of the left vent ricle. The first resection of the tumor was performed through a left ventri culotomy. This time, the tumor was resected through the aortic valve with a video-assisted technique. The ultrasonic surgical aspirator was useful to remove the tumor near the papillary muscle and the chordae.
