Abstract
The impact of dicarboxylic anions on the stability of the reconstructed Au( 100) and Au(111) surfaces was investigated. The stability range of the reco nstructed surface was determined by cyclic voltammetry. The results obtaine d were ascribed to the different geometric and electronic structure of the adsorbed anions.
