Abstract
We report the analysis of the H1(u)(P-3(1)) State of I-2 by optical-optical double resonance. This state lies in the second tier of ion-pair states an d its observation was achieved by using the (1 + 2) photoexcitation sequenc e using the A(3)Pi (1n) state as an intermediate. The molecular parameters were obtained from data for 0 less than or equal to upsilon less than or eq ual to 9 and 6 less than or equal to J less than or equal to 135 and used t o construct an RKR potential function. We predict the location of unknown h 0(u)(-)(P-3(1)) state in discussing the Omega -doubling of the H1(u)(P-3(1) ) Slate under the pure precession approximation, (C) 2000 Academic Press.
