Abstract
Pummerer-type reaction intermediate 2 of alpha-(methylthio)-N-methoxy-N-met hyl acetamide (1) has been found to react with 1-alkenes to afford ene addu cts 3. N-Methoxy-N-methyl-(E,E)-2,4-dienamides were synthesized from the ad ducts 3b-f.
