Abstract
Liquid/grease formulations with polyalphaolefins, multiply alkylated cyclop entanes, and silahydrocarbons, for space applications were: prepared and th eir properties determined. Research is reported on improved base fluids and ultra low volatility boundary lubrication/lubricity additives to provide r eliable, long life for momentum devices for satellites. Four-ball and recip rocating tribometer methods, in a nitrogen environment, have demonstrated s ignificant improved lubrication performance of the candidate lubricants.
