Abstract
Animal studies and studies using human ovarian xenografts in immunodeficien t mice have shown that ovarian transplantation is feasible. In this manuscr ipt, we present the first and limited experience with ovarian tissue cryopr eservation and transplantation in the human. Despite the progress, more bas ic studies are needed to improve the survival of primordial follicles durin g and after the cryopreservation process. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd.
