Multidisciplinary treatment of neurologic pain and indications for antalgic surgery

We present our multidisciplinary approach systematically adopted for patien ts with resistant pain. All the anatomic, pathophysiological, clinical, rad iographical, electrophysiological and psychological aspects of pain should be considered before deciding on treatment indication. These principles are illustrated by a description of different available medical and surgical t echniques for the treatment of paraplegic pain. We emphasize the importance of pain.
