Abstract
Polychloroprene rubber was pyrolysed in a fluidised-bed reactor on laborato ry scale at 593 degreesC. The distribution of the pyrolysis products was in vestigated. Mass balances of all product fractions were obtained. Analytica l interest was focused on the chlorinated aromatic compounds. Polycyclic ar omatic compounds were found in quite high concentrations of up to 0.1% in t he oil. Polychlorinated biphenyls were meassured in trace levels of up to 1 .8 ppm.
