A simple method is described for the preparation of Re-188-Lanreotide, a ra
diolabeled synthetic peptide derived from an analogue of somatostatin, usin
g Lanreotide (50 mug) and stannous tartrate to which is added carrier-free
Re-188. Th, radiolabeling has been carried out with similar to 555 MBq (15
mCi) with a >95% labeling efficiency and no need for subsequent purificatio
n. ITLC and HPLC techniques were employed for monitoring the stability and
labeling yield. Radiolabeling results in one major peak when analyzed by re
verse-phase (RP) HPLC.
