Mossbauer effect and electrical measurements in the temperature range 295-3
80 K for hexane-diammonium tetrachloro-ferrate are presented. The electric
permittivity and conductivity reveal the presence of two phase changes at 3
25 and 345 K. The former is related to a rotational transition. Mossbauer p
arameters reflect only the 345 K transition, which is ascribed to a transit
ion of a displacive type. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
