We use dynamical local-field corrections to study the plasmon dispersion an
d damping in double-layer electron systems. The wave vector and frequency-d
ependent local-fields describing the exchange-correlation effects are obtai
ned within the quantum version of self-consistent field approach. The calcu
lated plasmon dispersions are modified by the dynamic local-fields at inter
mediate wave vectors (i.e. q similar to k(F)) The plasmons are damped outsi
