H. Takeda et al., CHARACTERISTICS OF HEAT-HYDROGEN GAS ENERGY-CONVERSION AND HYDROGEN GAS TRANSPORTATION USING HYDROGEN ABSORBING ALLOY, Journal of alloys and compounds, 253, 1997, pp. 677-681
Heat-hydrogen pressure conversion techniques and techniques for hydrog
en gas transport over a long distance have been investigated to develo
p elemental technologies required for constructing a high-efficiency s
ystem to convert waste heat generated in industrial areas into hydroge
n gas energy using hydrogen absorbing alloys. To efficiently convert h
eat into hydrogen gas energy using hydrogen absorbing alloys, we studi
ed the effect of the use of a plate fin type alloy fill vessel and hea
t accelerators (copper, aluminium, and magnesium particles) mixed in t
he alloy layer. We also studied the characteristics of the hydrogen ga
s being transported through a 1-km piping unit.
