Abstract
The synthesis of a series of 2-aryl-2H-indazoles is reported. These compoun ds are obtained in moderate to good yield by reaction of 2-nitrobenzyl trip henylphosphonium bromide with aryl isocyanates, catalysed by sodium hydride or DBU. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
