Abstract
If the catheter is still in the pericardium when tamponade is recognized du ring catheterization-or electrophysiologic procedures, it can be used for d efinitive aspiration and relief of tamponade. This is physiologically benef icial to the patient, and psychologically beneficial to both patient and me dical staff.
