Abstract
This randomized, double-blind trial found that tissue plasminogen activator activity increased and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 activity decrease d significantly more with exercise during placebo treatment than during tre atment with beta blockade. These results suggest that beta blockade blunts the fibrinolytic response to maximal exercise.
