Abstract
The staphylococcal enterotoxin research method is a quantitative method, in volving a sample preparation and an immunoenzymatic detection. In order to estimate its performance characteristics, a method characterisation is carr ied out with a single dairy product and for staphylococal enterotoxin A. St atistical analysis shows that the method is linear over a contamination int erval between 0 - 1 ng SEA per gram of cheese. he limit of detection is abo ut 0.01 ng SEA per ram of cheese and the limit of quantification is bout 0. 04 ng SEA per gram or cheese. The intra laboratory repeatability and interm ediate precision ape estimated on two levels of contamination. The repeatab ility coefficient of variation is included between 3.1 % and 6.2 %,the inte rmediate precision coefficient of variation is eluded between 4.7 % and 11. 0 %.
