Abstract
The growth of the truffle, Tuber borchii, mycelial strain (1BO) was analyse d using biomolecular methods. Total RNA evaluation and ergosterol assay rev ealed that transcriptional and metabolic activity reach a peak at around 30 -50 days of growth and decrease by 70 days. mRNA electrophoretic profiles h ighlighted a very low degree of variation in gene expression during the gro wth of mycelium.
