Abstract
We show existence and uniqueness for the solutions to the Newton equations relative to a system of infinitely many particles in the space, interacting by means of a positive and short-range potential. The initial conditions a re chosen in a set sufficiently large to be the support of any reasonable n on-equilibrium state. We extend previous results in one and two dimensions, obtained by Lanford and by Fritz and Dobrushin respectively, many years ag o.
