The authors describe a method of fast large-scale production of alpha-2-mac
roglobulin (MG) from human plasma. The technique consists in combination of
fractional precipitation by polyethylene glycol with anion exchange and me
talchalate affinity chromatography. The MG preparations do not contain impu
rity and output of the target product reach 40%. Methods of production of s
table MG complexes with plasmin and alpha-interferon are detailed. Transfus
iological prospects of the above preparations are discussed.
