Abstract
Adaptive control of a class N of single-input, single-output systems descri bed by nonlinear functional differential equations is considered. An N-univ ersal stabilizer, in the form of an adaptive discontinuous output feedback strategy incorporating gains of Nussbaum type, is developed within an analy tic framework of functional differential inclusions.
