Abstract
alpha-AsP3S3I2, alpha-AsP3Se3I2, and three isomers of beta-AsP3S3I2 we re observed besides several phosphorus sulfides by P-31 NMR spectrosco py after the reaction of AsnP4-nE3 (E = S; Se; n = 0-4) with I-2 in th e melt or with I-2, PI3, and N-iodosuccinimid in CS2 solutions. The re action of AsnP4-nS3 with CHI3 in CS2 solution yielded two isomers of b eta-AsP3S3(CHI2)I.
