Abstract
The enzyme horseradish peroxidase is extensively inactivated by UVA exposur e in the presence of TiO2, a common ingredient of sunscreens and cosmetics. The effect is attributed to the generation of reactive oxygen species, as indicated by the inactivation enhancement observed in the presence of air. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
