F. Nie et al., An investigation of the chemiluminescence reaction in the sodium hypochlorite-folic acid-emicarbazide hydrochloride system, MICROCHEM J, 65(3), 2000, pp. 319-323
A chemiluminescence method for the determination of folic acid by the sodiu
m hypochlorite-folic acid-semicarbazide hydrochloride system with a new flo
w injection technique has been established. The new method can perform simp
le, sensitive and rapid determinations of folic acid. The response to the c
oncentration of folic acid, in the range of 1.0 x 10(-7) similar to 5.0 x 1
0(-5) g/ml, is linear. The relative standard deviation of the method is 2.3
% (C-5 = 4.0 x 10(-6) g/ml, n = 11). The detection limit is 2.7 x 10(-8) g/
ml. This method is suitable for automatic and continuous analysis, and has
been successfully tested for the determination of folic acid in a folic aci
d tablet. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
