Abstract
Here we show that the rate of poleward chromosome motion in zw10-null mutan ts is greatly attenuated throughout the division process, and that chromoso me disjunction at anaphase is highly asynchronous. Our results show that ZW 10 protein, together with Rod, is involved in production and/or regulation of the force reponsible for poleward chromosome motion.
