E. Marco et al., FLUIDIZATION OF AGGLOMERATING PARTICLES - INFLUENCE OF THE GAS TEMPERATURE AND COMPOSITION ON THE FLUIDIZATION OF A LI MGO CATALYST/, Powder technology, 92(1), 1997, pp. 47-52
An experimental study has been carried out on the fluidization of a Li
/MgO catalyst under conditions typically used in the methane oxidative
coupling process. The minimum fluidization velocity has been estimate
d in the 700-900 degrees C temperature range and compared with the mea
sured values. The effect of particle cohesion upon the minimum fluidiz
ation velocity has been studied, and the agglomeration has been relate
d to the presence of a partially melted pool of carbonates on the cata
lyst surface.
