Abstract
Fabrication of c-axis oriented (Hg0.75Re0.25)Ba2Ca2Cu3Oy [(Hg0.75Re0.25)122 3] thick film tapes has been attempted using Ni substrates with the buffer layer of Cr or NiO. Coexistence of Hg0.75Re0.25Ba2Ca3Cu4Oy or Hg0.6Re0.4Ba2 CaCu2Oy pellets as Hg vapor source was found to stabilize (Hg0.75Re0.25)122 3 phase of the tape. The c-axis oriented tapes were reproducibly obtained o n the NiO/Ni substrate and they recorded high B-irr at 77K, > 5T.
