Abstract
Temperature dependencies of optical spectra of (La,Nd,Sr)(2)CuO4 crystals h ave been investigated both for in-plane and out-of-plane directions. In con trast to the other stripe materials, the stripe phase of the cuprates shows a highly conducting nature without any gap-like feature in the charge resp onses in the normal state. On the other hand, a static stripe ordering radi cally suppresses superconductivity via reduction in the Josephson coupling strength between the layers and/or a decrease in superfluid density.
