A magnetic field induced superconductor-insulator transition (SIT) in the Y
0.5Pr0.5Ba2Cu3O7-delta (YPBCO) thin films has been investigated in the puls
ed magnetic fields up to 50 T. Meanwhile, the Hail effect in such YPBCO fil
ms has also been investigated. With large current and high magnetic field,
the Hall angle follows a power law with the temperature, i.e. cot theta (H)
proportional to T-2. However, while the current and the magnetic field dec
rease to 0.05 mA and 1 T respectively, a reversed Hall resistivity occurs n
ear the T-C. Furthermore, the Hall resistivity is almost linear to the magn
etic field, while the Hall number in high magnetic field is slightly lower
than that in low magnetic field, exhibiting a magnetic field induced charge
localization.
