Abstract
We observe terahertz radiation from Y0.7Pr0.3Ba2Cu3O7 (YPBCO) thin films ex cited with femtosecond optical pulses, and compare its waveform and efficie ncy with those from YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO). It is found that YPBCO can prod uce much stronger radiation than YBCO. We discuss the origin of the enhance ment as well as the temperature dependence of the emission properties.
