Abstract
We investigate the influence of columnar defects on the superconducting tra nsition temperatures of UBe13 and U0.97Th0.03Be13 The defects cause all the transitions to widen and to drop slightly in temperature. Quantitatively, the lower transition in U0.97Th0.03Be13 more strongly resembles the single UBe13 transition.
