We study here the optical conductivity of a p-wave superconductor within th
e conducting plane. In our model the absolute value of the order parameter
is constant like in an s-wave superconductor, therefore the electric conduc
tivity should also behave similarly, except for the effect of bound states
at the Fermi energy due to impurities. Moreover, the approximations used by
Mattis-Bardeen or by Abrikosov et.al. are not applicable. Measurement of t
he millimeter wave conductivity in Sr2RuO4 should serve as another test of
p-wave superconductivity.
