Jr. Cooper et al., Effect of the normal state gap on the thermoelectric power, irreversibility line and c-axis resistivity of YBa2Cu3O7-delta, PHYSICA C, 341, 2000, pp. 855-858
We discuss the effects of the normal state gap (NSG or EG)[1] On two normal
state properties, the thermoelectric power of Y0.8Ca0.2Ba2Cu3O6+x and the
c-axis resistivity of YBa2Cu3O7-delta and one superconducting property, the
irreversibility [2] or "vortex lattice melting" line of YBa2Cu3O7-delta. R
ather surprisingly a simple Giaever tunneling model [3] seems to give a goo
d description of the c-axis resistivity and the available c-axis magnetores
istance data [4] for YBa2Cu3O7-delta.
