Abstract
Based oil recently proposed U(1) x SU(2) Chern-Simons gauge field theory, a n interpretation of the transport and magnetic relaxation properties of und erdoped cuprates is proposed. The interplay of the doping-dependent spin ga p effect and dissipation due to gauge fluctuations gives rise to a crossove r from metallic to insulating behavior of conductivity its temperature decr eases, ill semi;quantitative agreement with experimental data. For the same reason the magnetic relaxation rate shows a maximum nearby.
