We study the single-particle properties of the one-dimensional Luttinger mo
del in the presence of a magnetic field. The single-particle spectral funct
ions are calculated and it is shown that the magnetic field induces shifts
on both the spinon and holon peak positions, but with different magnitudes.
From these results, we discuss the possibility of using angle-resolved pho
toemission in a magnetic field to probe spin-charge separation.
