Abstract
A kinetic equation of the martensite Formation was obtained for the case wh ere this process is incomplete under isothermal conditions. The main role i n the kinetics of martensite formation in this case belongs to nucleation. Fisher's, Kaufman-Cohen's, and Hillert's nucleation models were considered. A good agreement between experimental data and theoretical curves was obta ined for the Kaufman-Cohen's model modified by Hillert.
