Abstract
Radio-MR-pathologic correlations of spine specimens provide the unique oppo rtunity to separately assess alterations of the osseous network and of the medullary content of vertebral bodies. This article highlights normal varia nts in marrow appearance at MR imaging and features common lesions includin g vertebral hemangioma, benign and malignant vertebral fractures, metastase s, Schmorl's nodes and changes secondary to disk disorders.
