The degree of depolarization and the intensity of molecular light scatterin
g in the benzene-toluene system were measured at 25 degreesC. The concentra
tion dependences of light scattering parameters and the correlation theory
were used to suggest a model of the structure of C6H6-C7H8 solutions, whose
principal features are almost orthogonal benzene contacts and S-configurat
ions of neighboring molecules.
