Abstract
The influence of pretreatment of the surface of cellulose fiber by a low-te mperature low-pressure plasma on capillary parameters and the heat of surfa ce wetting by water was studied experimentally. Plasma-chemical treatment w as shown to increase the capillary properties of the adsorption system and decrease the heat of wetting. The conclusion was drawn that the mechanisms of the influence of thermal and plasmachemical pretreatments on the structu re and the adsorption properties of the surface of cellulose fibers were id entical.
