A phase equilibrium curve for n-butanol was measured over the temperature r
ange 333.15-563.05 K and the density range 789.0-270.0 kg/m(3) in the line
of boiling and over the temperature range 520.74-563.05 K and the density r
ange 61.9-270.0 kg/m(3) in the line of condensation using thermograms on an
adiabatic calorimeter. An equation taking into account the main features o
f the theory of critical phenomena was derived. This equation was demonstra
ted to describe all available experimental data.
