Abstract
An infected Dacron ventricular septal defect (VSD) patch was removed 15 yea rs after repair of tetralogy of Fallot. Cardiopulmonary bypass was not util ized, and no significant hemorrhage was encountered. The patient recovered uneventfully and continues to do well 7 years after surgery without infecti on or residual VSD. (Ann Thorac Surg 2000;70:2140-2) (C) 2000 by The Societ y of Thoracic Surgeons.
