Abstract
4-Bromoacctophenone-pyrrolecarboxamide conjugates were designed and synthes
ized as photoinducible DNA cleaving agents which can generate monophenyl ra
dicals capable of causing the hydrogen atom abstraction which initiates the
scission of DNA.
