Risk assessment criterion for an emergency situation in handling closed sources of ionizing radiation

Art algorithm making it possible to assess how well closed sources of ioniz ing radiation are taken into account and how well the handling of such sour ces is monitored and to identify territories on which the risk of an accide nt associated with the operation of such sources is highest is proposed. Pr actical results of an analysis of the radiation safety in working with sour ces at enterprises located on the territory of Moscow are presented and the distribution of the risk of the appearance of accident situations over cit y districts is obtained.
