Ms. Pei et al., Synthesis of sodium sulfanilate-phenol-formaldehyde condensate and its application as a superplasticizer in concrete, CEM CONCR R, 30(11), 2000, pp. 1841-1845
Water-soluble sodium sulfanilate-phenol-formaldehyde condensate (SSPF) is s
ynthesized with a simple synthetic process. The surface activity of SSPF an
d its performance in concrete was investigated. It was found that the synth
esized SSPF has an advantage over conventional superplasticizers, such as s
ulfonated naphthalene formaldehyde condensate (SNF) and sulfonated melamine
formaldehyde condensate (SMF), and is more suitable to prepare pumping con
crete and self-compacting concrete. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All righ
