A headspace solid phase microextraction technique for the determination of
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in soil is suggested. The optimum extracti
on conditions from headspace of the humic soil are: temperature 60 degreesC
for 30 min and desorption for 2 min at 250 degreesC.The precision and line
arity of determination as well as detection limits for acenaphthene, fluore
ne and anthracene were estimated. It was demonstrated that the extraction e
fficiency strongly depends on the humidity of the soil.
