Abstract
Seven novel fluorescent coumarin derivatives were synthesized from 7-diethy
lamino-4-chloro-3-formyl-coumarin. The spectra of absorption, excitation an
d emission were dependent not only on the structures and also on the concen
tration of dyes. The PPP-MO predictions can only be consistent with the spe
ctra in dilute solutions.
